Great batteries July 30, 2008 David R Blane I got a 9.6 volt kit back in 1996, drill driver -- 2 batteries and charger.
all of it is still going strong after 12 YEARS! I now charge all my batteries in my makita 7.2 volt to 18 volt charger. all OK there.
I now have 2 9.6 volt driver drills and 2 18 volt drills -- all makita.
P.S. Based on my experience with BRAND X knock-off batteries for my panasonic drivers -- they SUCK! BIGGER and shorter charge life.
I heartily recommend getting the REAL thing.
Great working, hard to find battery August 2, 2009 B. Crowley (Southern US) Bought my Makita drill/light combo when i started as a factory/dealer mechanic(12yrs). Dropped the one battery a few years ago and that was it for that taking a charge(junked it)limped along with one batt. saw this and thought why not. It shipped fast, packaged well, charged it and drained it 10 times with my flashlight. Now holds a great charge every time. Great experience buying this.
Makita Drill Battery from Amazon November 27, 2009 Charles E. Kenyon (Brightwood, VA) I have had my Makita drill for many years. Another replacement battery I purchased four yers ago was not made by Makita and it was expensive and of poor quality and did not last very long. This battery, purchased fom Amazon, is made by Makita, of first class construction and very reasonably priced.
Battery December 13, 2009 W. Register (Hattiesburg, MS) Battery works fine. Due to an error on my part, the battery is the wrong one for my drill. There are two 9.6 V batteries, one has retainer clips on it and one doesn't. Be sure you get the right one.
Battery to the Max February 8, 2008 A. Elliott 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
These batteries last for years. I bought two so I can have one charging at all times which allows me a constant flow of power to my Makita tools. As Ernie Banks once said "it's such a wonderful day, let's play (buy) two".
