The Mastercool 85510 R134a Can Tap Valve Screw on type provides a method to charge the R134a Refrigerant packaged in 13 to 16 Oz cans with a threaded protrusion on top. This valve is a requirement when charging from the screw type refrigerant cans.

It works fine, looks well made and no leaks! Valve turns smoothly, too! And I like how it's designed to prevent over tightening of the rubber washer (located in the inlet where the freon can connects). Without this feature, the washer would get crushed just like those dinky taps that are often sold at autoparts.

Works fine but I did not notice it was to be used with R134a hoses only. Had to change fitting on it to used with my R12 lines....not a big deal, just wish I had noticed.
